Frances Q. Peach – Hookstown
Frances Q. Peach, 77, of Hookstown, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, in her home of over 50 years surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 4, 1947, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late James and Marie (Trevino) Quinn, Fran was a schoolteacher for over 30 years with the vast majority of that time being with the South Side School District. Fran loved to travel with her late husband taking motorhome trips all across the nation. Accompanying on these trips through the years were always her four-legged best friends who she adored.
Fran lived a life filled with love and kindness always wanting to be a support to others. She embodied a quiet yet unwavering strength that carried her through her diagnosis of Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2014 and subsequent lung transplant in 2018.
Fran loved her family dearly as they did her. She leaves behind a legacy of children and their spouses David and Melissa Peach, Clinton, and Sherry Peach-Walker and Peter Walker, Cranberry Twp; her grandchildren Mason, Ryan, and Evan Walker and Myles Redish; her niece Katie Kochenderfer and nephew Travis Peach. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert A. Peach and sister Patricia Q. Kochenderfer.
Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine Street, Hookstown, PA 15050 on Thursday from 2-4 and 6 pm, until the time of her service at 8 pm. She will be laid to rest privately next to her beloved husband Robert A. Peach of 49 years in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
