Frances E. Walker – HOOKSTOWN (HANOVER TWP.)

Frances E. Walker, 94, of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.), died Thursday evening, June 12, 2014, with family at her side at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver.

Born July 1, 1919, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late George and Harriet (Hallwood) Stone. A homemaker, Mrs. Walker was a member of the New Cumberland (WV) Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Walker, on December 30, 1999, and a son, Robert Walker.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Nancy Zynosky, Hookstown; Kenneth and his wife Carolyn Walker, Wellsville, Ohio, William and his wife Susan Walker, Newell, WV; Barbara Gray, New Cumberland, WV, and Carol Walker of Monaca; a dear friend, Tom Steffler, Monaca; 13 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to call Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, where her services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Her pastor, the Rev. Tom Fletcher of the New Cumberland Church of the Nazarene, will officiate.

She will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
