Floyd W. Reckner Sr. – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TWP.)

Floyd W. Reckner Sr., 60, of Hookstown (Greene Twp.), passed Sunday evening, December 14, 2014, with family at his side at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born October 1, 1954, in Follansbee, WV, he was a son of the late Walter Scott Reckner and Thelma (Cain) Reckner Rice. Floyd had worked at the FENOC Plant in Shippingport and was an avid hunter and Steelers fan.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Susan A. (Rambo) Reckner; a son and his wife, Floyd W. Jr. and Dana Reckner of Georgetown; a daughter and her husband, Suzette and Brad McCarrell, Clinton; his siblings and their spouses, Frank and Goldie Reckner, New Cumberland, WV; Sue and Steve Budden, Lakewood, CO; Ila Gill, Wellsburg, WV, and Nancy and Jim Chambers, New Cumberland. Also surviving are five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was a son-in-law of Thelma Rambo of Hookstown and the late Paul Rambo Sr.

Family and friends are welcome to call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, where his services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 12 noon, with his nephew, the Rev. Luke Rambo, of the New Castle Wesleyan Church, officiating.

He will be laid to rest in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
