Evelyn Virginia Waxler – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TWP.)

Evelyn Virginia Waxler, 90, of Hookstown (Greene Twp.), died Sunday morning, June 7, 2015, in the comfort of her home with family at her side.

Born December 3, 1924, in Chester, WV, she was a daughter of the late James Whittem and Clara Etta (Reynolds) Halstead.  A homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, camping and fishing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore L. Waxler, and a daughter, Helen Crouch.

Surviving are her children, Linda Whipkey of Chester, WV and her late husband, Glenn and Ted Waxler (Sharyn Davis) of Hookstown; a son-in-law, John Crouch of Hookstown, and also eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., the Rev. Robert Kerns of Community Bible Church, Aliquippa, officiating.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery, Georgetown.
