Eva M. Ramsey

Eva M. Ramsey, 95, a lifelong resident of Georgetown, died Tuesday evening, October 3, 2017, at Providence Healthcare Center, Beaver Falls.

Born February 12, 1922, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Ennis and Gladys (McKee) Swearingen.  In addition to being a homemaker, she worked on the farm just as hard as any man.

She was a member of the Christian Assembly Church of Ohioville, an avid quilter, and a member of the Peacemaker’s Quilt Club winning numerous blue ribbons at the Hookstown Fair for her efforts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn E. Ramsey; a son, Samuel K. Ramsey; and three brothers, Warren, Thomas and James Swearingen.

Surviving are her two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph G. and Sarah Ramsey, Beaver and William C. and Patricia Ramsey, Industry; a daughter-in-law, Sherrie Ramsey, Georgetown; a sister, Donna J. Strapazzon, Burgettstown; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Colleen Ramsey and one great-granddaughter, Ava.

Family and friends are welcome to call at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine Street, Hookstown, PA  15050, on Thursday from 5 to 7  p.m. only where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with her pastor, Bill Anzevino, Christian Assembly Church of Ohioville, officiating. She be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery.
