Elsie L. Irons – WELLSVILLE, OHIO

Elsie L. Irons, 86, of Wellsville, Ohio, died Friday morning, April 10, 2015, at Calcutta Health Care.

Born September 23, 1928, in Perry Twp., PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Wigley) Stiefel. A wife, mother and homemaker, Elsie had also worked at the former Aliquippa Hills Department Store and the Phoenix Glass Company, Monaca, and had waitressed in Monaca and Aliquippa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Irons, on March 27, 2012.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Irons, Arkansas, and Jackie Irons, Wellsville; a stepbrother and his wife, Bill (Ester) Shinke, Frankfort Springs, and a half sister, Helen Craig, Rochester. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation will take place with interment at a later date.
