Dale E. Greenawald, Jr.

Dale E. Greenawald, Jr., was called to heaven on 11/17/2021. Born 1/24/1970, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of Dale E. Greenawald, Sr. (Dianna Lynn) and our angel the late Gloria Jean “GG” (Jackson) Greenawald, and brother to Scott (Aldean) Greenawald.

Dale was the beloved and cherished husband of 28 years to Jennifer (Plance) Greenawald and “Always and Forever”, he will be loved and the memories of their beautiful life together will be shared with all who want to hear. His greatest love and joy was being a devoted father to his daughters Katelynn (Dalton Mehlmauer) and Kristen (Alex Takacs). Always supportive, offering wisdom, patience and encouragement, he is so proud of “his girls” and their boys. Their accomplishments are and will continue to be a testimony to his legacy.

He will be deeply missed by the Plance Family: Jim and Sue, who loved him like a son and called him such, Jimmy and Heather, and his nieces Cassie (Jake) and Miccah.

Dale had an infectious smile and great laugh. He became a treasured friend to everyone who ever met him.

The friends he has made over the years out number the grains of sand on the beach of Lake Erie, where the family spent many vacations. It was his favorite place to watch the sunsets and sit around the fire just being together.

A Union Carpenter, he was a Superintendent for Jendoco Construction and built the family home and out buildings. He enjoyed the simple country life on their small farm, going for walks with the dogs, “front porch sitting” and family dinners.

His passion was bracket drag racing various Camaro cars over the last 30 years with his family in tow after taking Jenn to the race track on their second date.

He worked as hard as he loved and played. No regrets except you are gone too soon.
