Columbia E. Garren – GEORGETOWN (HANOVER TWP.)

Columbia E. Garren, 84, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), died Tuesday, May 31, 2016, in the comfort of her home, with family at her side.

Born in Georgetown on April 26, 1932, she was the last surviving child born to the late Raymond and Betty (Kline) Moralla. A homemaker, she was retired from Trinity Oaks, having worked as a night shift supervisor, and also had worked at the former Gimbel’s Department Store as a beautician and an electrolysis technician.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Gallie, and also a sister, Mary Slazack.

Surviving are her second husband, Charles Garren, and her children, Rosemary Gallie, Debbie (Ray) LeFever, Susy Halligan, Paul Gallie and Robin Herbold. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050. Services will be private. Cremation will take place. Inurnment will follow in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery.
