Blaine W. Mott – HOOKSTOWN

Blaine W. Mott, 89, of Hookstown died Tuesday evening, April 30, 2019, in the comfort of his home, surround by the love of his family.

Born February 1 1930, in New Brighton, the last surviving son born to the late George and Elaine (Healey) Mott.

He was one of the founding members of the Hookstown Volunteer Fire Dept. and was the former owner and operator of the Southside Garage. He was also a member of Glasgow Lodge 485 F&AM.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, Wayne, George and Edward Mott.

Surviving is his beloved wife of 67 years, Gertrude (Wilson) Mott. The couple married on July 17, 1951. Also surviving are his children, John and Tish Mott, Ralph and Mary Mott, Sherry Mott, Bivian and Jack Moore and Penny and Ed Malloy. Beloved Pap of eight grandchildren, Andrea Rodriquez, Dakon Moore, Tiffany Skelly, Adam Mott, Brenton Mott, Nicholas Venier, Chloe Malloy and Eddie Malloy and four great-grandchildren, Brandon Skelly, Brian Skelly, Benjamin Skelly and Alec Rodriquez.

Family and friends are welcome to call at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, on Thursday, May 2, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, where his services will be held on Saturday at 11 am. The Reverend Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery in Hookstown.
