Audrey J. Messersmith (I Did It My Way!)

Shortly after celebrating her 70th birthday, Audrey went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 6, 2022. She was born to George and Hazel Nolte of Moon Township and was blessed to be raised by her grandparents Sam and Antoinette Pacella of Coraopolis.

Audrey was a homemaker at heart and had a few things that brought her the most joy. She loved every living creature and over the years raised a variety of farm animals. She had a special place in her heart for cats, especially Stinky who was always at her side and under feet. She enjoyed riding and spending time with her horse Tequila, who she had for over 15 years. Another pleasure in life was traveling and was ready for a trip to the Caribbean or road trip out west on a moment’s notice.

She is preceded in death by her parents, stepdad Lou, grandparents, aunts and uncles and niece Yvette. She is survived by her sisters: Georgia (Don), Marie (Jim), Sandy (Terry) and Mary (Dick), several nieces and nephews and the crazy Pacella cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice for their compassion and support over the past year, especially her favorite nurse Peggy who always made her laugh, Ryan her social worker who took care of the tough issues and Lynn who was there when needed on the last-minute calls. Also, a special thanks to the staff at Wexford Hospice House who were loving and caring for her in her final days.

At Audrey’s request, there will be no visitation or public service. There will be a small grave side service for family and close friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name, may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
