Arthur DeLee Kerfoot – Hookstown (Frankfort Springs)

“Peanut” Arthur DeLee Kerfoot, 82, of Hookstown (Frankfort Springs) died peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love of family on Thursday afternoon, January 14, 2021. Born June 28, 1938, in Philipsburg, Pa., he was the last surviving son born to the late William E. and Irene (Brown) Kerfoot. A graduate of Philipsburg High School class of 1956. Peanut started his career in 1956 with Allegheny Airlines, retiring from USAirways after 40 years having worked as a station agent, load planner and airline dispatcher. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, a longtime member of Five Points Hunt Club and the neighborhood ‘lawn fairy’.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Walter ‘Chis’ and Ralph Kerfoot.

Surviving is his beloved wife of over 64 years “Tiny” Norma R. (Bodle) Kerfoot, their children Steven (Cynthia) Kerfoot of Fort Ashby, W.V., Gary (Randi) Kerfoot of Virginia Beach, VA. and Cheryl (Jim) Merisko of Oswego, IL.. Loving grandfather of six, Morgan, Tyler, Madison, Raegan, Samantha and Joshua, and great grandfather of five, Hudson, Sawyer, Stetson, Addison and Teddi.

Peanut was a loving and doting husband, father and grandfather. He was willing to help any and everyone he met. His passing will leave a great void in his family and with friends, neighbors and anyone who knew him. He gave his children and grandchildren experiences they will never forget.

As per his wishes there will be no visitation and cremation will take place.

Memorials in his name can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

A celebration of Peanut’s life will be held on Sunday August 1, 2021, at 1 pm at the Five Point Hunting Club, 285 Bocktown Cork Rd., Aliquippa, Pa. 15001.
