Anna Taylor – Aliquippa (Independence Township)
Anna Taylor, age 90, of Aliquippa (Independence Township), died Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Elmcroft of Chippewa.
Born August 18, 1928, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Peter and Agnes (Blateky) Korzen. A homemaker, Anna was a member of the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church. She was an avid and very good quilt maker. She, along with her late husband, had also raised peacocks and chinchillas.
She was very family oriented having all her children living close by, so she enjoyed having her grandchildren near her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest on November 5, 1994, also four brothers and six sisters.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Ernest Peter (Kathy) Taylor of Independence Twp., David (Linda) Taylor of Independence Twp., Sharon (Dan) Campbell of Raccoon Twp., and Donna (Jim) Allen of Independence Twp. Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Hausholder of Columbus, Ohio and Frances Shoemake of Alabama; grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of 18.
Family and friends are welcome to call at MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050 on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, 4128 Route 151, Aliquippa, PA 15001. Her pastor, the Rev. Kevin Neal will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Olivet Church Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church.
