Muriel Eris Morrow – HOOKSTOWN

Muriel Eris Morrow, 89, a long time resident of Hookstown, died peacefully on Thursday morning, September 5, 2013, with her daughters at her side at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born April 23, 1924, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Gladys Ann Cox. A homemaker, Mrs. Morrow was a member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church, Shippingport, where she had also taught Sunday school. She was also a member of the Birthday Club, first president of the Southside School District PTA, and had worked as a cook in the cafeteria in the Southside schools.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Morrow on Dec. 14, 2003, and a sister, Irene Bailey.

Surviving are her daughters, Rosalie Ferris, East Palestine, OH and Paula Morrow, Hookstown; her sister, Patricia and her late husband, Wayne Kelly, New Brighton; a brother, Leonard and his wife, Virginia Bailey, New Brighton; four grandchildren, Jana Ferris, Jeanice and Dr. Michael Britvitch, Terra and her husband, John Harshbarger and Dayna Morrow and six great-grandchildren.

Friends are welcome to call in the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, PA 15050, Daniel M. McConnell, Owner-Director, on Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. only where services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Susan Pickering, of the Green Valley United Methodist Church, officiating.

Memorials in her name may be made to one's favorite charity.

She will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
