Mariann Goodwin – Industry

Mariann Goodwin, 87, of Industry passed peacefully, Sunday morning, October 30, 2022 in the comfort of her home with her family at her side. Born April 20, 1935 in Baden, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Perlakowski) Berkner.

She was preceded in death by her husband Murle Gene Goodwin on June 12, 2021. Surviving is her daughter Geann Murtha and grandson Patrick Murtha. Continue reading

Gerald Gene Seik – Hookstown (Hanover Twp.)

Gerald Gene Seik, 85, of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.) died peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by the love of family, Friday evening, October 28, 2022 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born August 14, 1937 in Oakdale. He was a son of the late Howard E. and Freda (Ferrell) Seik. A graduate of the West Allegheny School district where he was on the wrestling team, where he competed in states. An avid outdoorsman, he belonged to the Raccoon twp. Sportsman’s Club. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time on his farm tending to the land and his cows.

Gerald retired after 32 years of service at Weirton Steel, working as an iron worker and rigger. He was the owner and operator of Seik Holdings, LLC. He also enjoyed race cars, motor cross, bowling and belonged to several softball teams and especially enjoyed playing euchre with his family. Continue reading

Michael L. Andrews – Georgetown (Hanover twp.)

Michael L. Andrews, 68, of Georgetown (Hanover twp.), passed Wednesday afternoon, October 12, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospice Beaver, after a short illness. Born September 6, 1954, in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Charles and Helen (Hendricks) Andrews. Mike was a graduate of the South Side School and had worked as a farmer on the family’s property all his life. Continue reading

Carol Derosky – Clinton (Hanover twp.)

Carol Derosky, 56, of Clinton (Hanover twp.), died peacefully in the comfort of her son’s home on Thursday morning, October 13, 2022. Born March 9, 1966, in Sewickley, she was a daughter of the late George E. and Jacqueline E. (Goff) Howe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Barry (Beaver) Derosky and a son Keith Ayers.
