Ruth Evelyn Keffer – Hookstown

Ruth Evelyn Keffer, 100, of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.), died peacefully Monday afternoon, May 25, 2020, with her family at her side at the Orchards at East Liverpool, Ohio.

Born March 1, 1920, in Hundred, West Virginia, she was the last surviving child born to the late Thomas and Sarah. A homemaker Ruth was a member of the Hanover Presbyterian Church and also a member of the Hanover Women’s Club, and the Shippingport Senior Citizens. She loved gardening and flowers, listening to the news and enjoyed her many visitors. Ruth loved dogs and cats and playing the lottery. Continue reading

Charles Sumner Halstead – Hookstown (Hanover Twp.)

Charles Sumner Halstead, 58, of Hookstown (Hanover Twp.), died Tuesday evening, May 19, 2020, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Born October 10, 1961, in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Joseph W. and Virginia M. (Glenn) Halstead. He worked as a dairy farmer and loved target shooting, his cows, muscle cars including his 2012 Camaro, but most of all spending time with his family and children. Continue reading

Charles A. Graham Jr. – Weirton, W.Va. (Formerly of Hookstown)

Charles A. Graham Jr., 64, of Weirton, W.Va., formerly of Hookstown, died Sunday evening, May 10, 2020, in the comfort of his home with family at his side.

Born November 29, 1955, in Rochester, he was the beloved son of Charles A. Graham Sr. and the late Marlene L. (Yarnell) Graham.

Charles worked as an auto mechanic in the automotive industry. A veteran of the Persian Gulf War, he served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army and had worked under Dick Chaney in the U.S. Defense Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.   Continue reading

Peggy Jean Davis – Georgetown (formerly of Aliquippa)

Peg Davis, 86, of Georgetown PA, formerly of Aliquippa, PA, passed peacefully to her heavenly home Friday, May 1st, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, PA.

Peg was the daughter of Howard D. Hutton Sr. and Dorothy (McCoy) Hutton Aliquippa, PA.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Howard D. Hutton, Jr. (Coach Hutton) and grandson, Eric Lloyd Patterson.

She is survived by 4 generations of loving and close knit family. Three children: Michelle (Rick) Patterson of Hookstown, Richard Davis, Aliquippa, and Sharon (Martin) Mackall, Georgetown. 4 grandchildren: Michael (Erin) Patterson, Erin Patterson(Eric’s wife), Daniel Mackall (fiancé Mia), Amanda Mackall (fiancé Lowell). 4 great grandchildren: Sarah, Hannah, David, Patterson and Tyler Flowers. A great granddaughter: Celina Whitlow. Sister-in-law, Karen Hutton and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Continue reading
