Mildred F. ‘Midge’ Weaver – GEORGETOWN (HANOVER TWP.)

Mildred F. “Midge” Weaver, 75, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), died unexpectedly Sunday morning, December 28, 2014, in Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born December 23, 1939, in East Liverpool, OH, a daughter of the late Edward and Jessie (Crow) Wilkinson, Midge had worked with the Stop-N-Go store chains, retiring from the Stop-N-Go Center Twp. store. She was an avid photographer, enjoyed cooking and doing crafts with her grandchildren. She was a member and deacon of the Mill Creek United Presbyterian Church. Continue reading

Myrle Kenneth ‘Bud’ Berger Jr. – HOOKSTOWN

Myrle Kenneth “Bud” Berger Jr., 80, of Hookstown, died Saturday morning, Dec. 20, 2014, in Kindred Hospital, Beaver.

Born July 26, 1934 in Scottdale, PA, he was the last surviving child born to the late Myrle K. Sr. and Audrian (Guest) Berger. Continue reading

Raymond C. Senile – GEORGETOWN (HANOVER TWP.)

Raymond C. Senile, 91, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), passed peacefully Monday evening, December 15, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver, with family at his side.

Born February 13, 1923, he was the last surviving child born to the late Romeo and Phoebe (Young) Senile. He worked as an electrician at Weirton’s Steel diesel shop, and after retiring from there, he went to work for Larch Heating, also of Weirton. He was a member of the Christian Church of New Cumberland, WV. A veteran of World War II, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the Destroyer Escort USS Varian. Continue reading

Floyd W. Reckner Sr. – HOOKSTOWN (GREENE TWP.)

Floyd W. Reckner Sr., 60, of Hookstown (Greene Twp.), passed Sunday evening, December 14, 2014, with family at his side at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born October 1, 1954, in Follansbee, WV, he was a son of the late Walter Scott Reckner and Thelma (Cain) Reckner Rice. Floyd had worked at the FENOC Plant in Shippingport and was an avid hunter and Steelers fan. Continue reading

Ethel Pauline Plance, 89, of Georgetown (Hanover Twp.), died peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday afternoon, December 3, 2014.

Born April 18, 1925, in Fayetteville, WV, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Walter and Mary Ellen (Walker) Robertson. Continue reading
