Donald R. Short – GREENE TOWNSHIP

Donald R. Short, 60, Greene Twp., died Tuesday evening July 17, 2012 in the Kindred Hospital, Beaver Valley. 

Born in Rochester on Sept. 8, 1951, he was the beloved son of Mary H. (Tate) Short and the late Elmer Ambrose Short who died in 1980. He was a retired military policeman serving with the U.S. Army and a member of the Green Valley United Methodist Church, Shippingport.  He was also a member of the Beaver Valley Equipment and Craft Association.

James R. McLaughlin – GEORGETOWN (HANOVER TWP.)

James R. McLaughlin, 66, of Georgetown (Hanover Township) died Monday morning July 16, 2012, in the comfort of his home with his wife at his side.

Born May 28, 1946 in Sewickley, the last surviving child born to the late Alvie and Faye (Cochran) McLaughlin, he was retired from Shasta Corporation of Coraopolis where he had worked as a milling machine operator.  He attended the Hookstown Free Methodist Church and was a member and treasurer of the Glasgow Lodge F&AM #485, Shippingport.

Ruth Eileen Potts-CLINTON (HANOVER TWP.)

Ruth Eileen Potts, 92, of Clinton (Hanover Township), died Monday evening, July 9, 2012, at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Born March 29, 1920, in Toronto, Ohio, she was the last surviving child born to the late Bert and Ada (Glasure) Peterson. A homemaker, Ruth was a member of the Hanover Presbyterian Church and formerly belonged to the Hookstown American Legion Auxiliary and the Hookstown Grange.

Miles T. Rogish Jr. – RACCOON TOWNSHIP

Miles T. Rogish Jr., of Raccoon Township, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 9, 2012.

Miles is survived by the love of his life, Rosalie (Collins) Rogish; his children, Linda (Don) Nisly of New Port Richey, FL, Dorothy (Gary) Rich of Glendale, AZ, Diane (Terry) Moore of Hookstown, Miles T. Rogish III of York, England, and Mark (Andrea) Rogish of Raccoon Township. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
